The Philippines came from a goal down to defeat Tajikistan in their own patch, 3-1 in the Women's Olympic Qualifying Thursday afternoon (evening Manila time) in Hisor.

It was the second win for Let Dimzon's Malditas in as many games in Group A, also their second against the hosts in the past two years but they trail leaders Chinese Taipei on goal difference after the East Asians scored their second straight 9-0 rout over Mongolia earlier.

Tajikistan took the game close in the opening stages and were rewarded first with a goal in the 26th minute through Gulsunbi Khalimova.

However, Shelah Cadag continued her hot scoring streak with an equalizer four minutes later, to put the match level at the break.

Then the Malditas continued to dominate the match and were rewarded by Sara Castañeda, who put the Filipinas for good five minutes after the restart.

The La Salle standout then duly put the spot kick away to seal all three points.
