MANILA--CJ Perez seemed like he quickly found a new home in Columbian.

Perez, the first overall pick of the PBA Draft, officially joined the team's practice at the Azure Urban Residences Basketball Court in Parañaque on Monday.

From there, he deduced that Coach John Cardel's system is somehow familiar to him.

He also said that Cardel wants him to be the King Pirate that led Lyceum to two NCAA finals appearances and one PCCL title with the Dyip.

From there, it's evident that the pressure will mount.
