MANILA--Bong Quinto, who was even tipped to be selected somewhere in the middle of the first round of the PBA Draft, found himself missing the said round and instead slipping to the second round of the said proceeding at the Robinson's Place Manila atrium on Sunday night.

Despite of it, Quinto remained thankful that he can finally showcase his talent to the PBA, particularly with Meralco.

"Sobrang thankful ako na pinili nila ako, continued the former Letran and Batangas City star, the 14th overall pick of the draft.

Specifically, Quinto will play with a team that made the Governors' Cup Finals for two straight seasons and has a seasoned mentor in Norman Black.

On what last season's NCAA "triple-double machine" will bring to the Bolts, he said, "Kung anong kaya kong gawin, dadagdagan ko para makatulong ako sa team.
