QUEZON CITY--It may be just a tune-up game.

But the NLEX-TNT game on Saturday at the Moro Lorenzo Sports Center did not lack intense action as if they are facing off in the playoffs.

The KaTropa did not just suffer a 90-95 defeat to the Road Warriors, but they also saw one of their stars leaving the game bloodied.

At the dying moments of the game, JR Quiñahan accidentally hit Troy Rosario's nose with his elbow while trying to secure the ball from a triple team.

Blood immediately flowed out of an apparent cut on Rosario's nose, and the game halted for a few minutes just for the TNT's medical staff to attend to the wound.

However, Coach Bong Ravena said after the game that what happened to Rosario could not just be a simple wounded nose.

"I don’t know how serious yung kay Troy, but I think broken nose iyon for sure," said Ravena.

But he added, "I really hope na minor lang."

Rosario was not the only casualty in the game as Yousef Taha left the game early on due to a cut on his forehead.

But according to Ravena, Taha only had his wound stitched, and recovery time is expected to be at most two weeks.

Rosario had 13 points to lead TNT in the losing effort before leaving the game due to the busted nose.

In his first preseason game with his new team, Poy Erram had 15 points to top score for NLEX, while Quiñahan added 12.

In his first tune-up game since recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Kevin Alas put up 11 markers of his own.
