Alab stifles Eastern anew, sweeps home stand

STA. ROSA, Laguna—Alab Pilipinas reasserted its mastery over Eastern Sports Club with an 88-76 win in their ASEAN Basketball League clash at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Sunday night.

Alab broke away from the Long Lions in the third quarter, outscoring them, 26-14, in the said period and never looking back.

Renaldo Balkman led Alab, who swept their four-game home stand and moved up to 10-2, with 20 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists, and one steal.

PJ Ramos added 18 markers, 19 boards, six dimes, and one swipe.

Josh Urbiztondo had his best performance so far in the season, putting up 16 points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals.

Marcus Elliott made 21 points, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block for Eastern in a game where Sam Deguara was held without a field goal in its entirety.
