Caloocan waylays Pasay to break tie

MANILA--Caloocan broke out of a tie with Pasay in style, hacking out an 85-63 rout in the MPBL Datu Cup at the Caloocan Sports Complex on Thursday night.

The Supremos waxed hot in the first quarter with 27 points before limiting the Voyagers to just nine points in the second en route to the wire-to-wire blowout.

Rene Pacquiao scored 20 points, seven rebounds, one assist, one block, and two steals, while Mar Villahermosa and Almond Vosotros each tallied 14 points for Caloocan, which now solely holds 11th place in the Northern Division at 7-13, just a full game off the playoff positions.

Jaypee Belencion scored 20 markers on-5-of-8 shooting from rainbow country, two boards, and one swipe for Pasay, which dropped to 12th place in the North at 6-14.
