MANILA--Blackwater's shocking rebuild continues as the team gave up another key player.
John Pinto, who showed an improved game during the last PBA Governors' Cup, is Phoenix-bound after a trade was approved by Commissioner Willie Marcial on Monday.
The Fuel Masters gave up Joseph Eriobu in exchange.
Despite Blackwater having spitfire point guards Roi Sumang and Mark Cruz, Pinto emerged as a surprise package for the team in the season-ending conference last year, becoming a vital cog in the club's hot start.
But now, Pinto is making his way to Phoenix, joining LA Revilla and RJ Jazul in the rotation.
Going back to the Elite, they received a hardworking forward in Eriobu as they look to bolster their frontline following a trade with the NLEX Road Warriors for Poy Erram.
