FEU run riot on UE to go top of the table after the opening day of UAAP Season 81 football with a 4-1 win Sunday afternoon at their own patch in FEU Diliman.
The Tamaraws of Bo Bae Park zoomed into the top of the pile after a solid second half display to dislodge UST on goal difference.
Jermi Parapan put FEU ahead in the 29th minute after making UE pay on a Mar Diano's penalty miss to score on the other end for a 1-0 halftime lead.
Heralded freshman Gio Pabualan then doubled their advantage just three minutes after the restart on a header, in which fellow freshman Champ Marin halved their deficit three minutes later.
However, FEU turned on the heat at the hour mark to seal all three points with two quick goals in just six minutes, with Dominique Canonigo blasted first his free kick into the back of the net which was followed by Alex Rayos in the 66th minute.
