National U and Adamson drew 1-1 to kick off the new season of the UAAP Football Tournament this Sunday morning at the FEU-Diliman pitch.

The season hosts are looked for all three points but a late penalty by the Soaring Falcons got them the first points since Season 79  where they pulled off a shocker against La Salle.

Mike Arbela put the Bulldogs ahead in the 79th minute, but Adamson get a penalty reprieve for a pen handball seven minutes later.

Jackson Ramos made no mistake from twelve yards to ensure their first result with new boss Arvin Soliman, since Ejike Ugwoke's second half strike upset the much heralded Green Booters nearly two years ago.

That draw ended their 25-match losing run by the Falcons since that aforementioned win.
