MANILA—Four European teams are looking to bring in Filipino high school star Kai Sotto to their fold.

According to Emiliano Carchia of Sportando, three Spanish clubs and one German squad expressed their interest in acquiring the services of the seven-foot-two center.

Long-time rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona, fellow Liga Endesa side Baskonia, and Basketball Bundesliga team Alba Berlin, as per the report, offered Sotto an opportunity to join them.

Carchia's report also revealed that Sotto went to Europe during the Christmas season to check out some squads there.

On Tuesday, Sotto was named the number one juniors basketball player in the Philippines by the National Basketball Training Center, headlining this year's "NBTC 24".

But a National Basketball Association scout, as told Carchia in anonymity, thinks it's time for Sotto to play in a tougher field.
