PASIG--FIBA 3x3 managing director Alex Sanchez is already looking forward to the success of the first-ever Chooks-To-Go-FIBA 3x3 Asia Pacific Super Quest happening this weekend at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong.

"We have probably some of the best teams in Asia. I think this is gonna be a very nice competition," Sanchez said during the welcome dinner for the said event at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria Ballroom on Friday night.

The 12 teams participating in the two-day cagefest, where a spot in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Doha Masters is at stake, were formally introduced in the said event.

The tournament will begin on Saturday with the pool stages.

Pasig, the inaugural champion of the Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3x3 and the essential host team, are grouped with Jakarta West and Absolute 3x3 of Chinese Taipei in Pool C.

The other Filipino squad in the tournament, 1Bataan, has Hong Kong's Anytours M1, featuring former Alab Pilipinas import Reggie Okosa, and 3x3 EXE Premier of Japan in Pool B.

The top two teams in each pool will collide in the knockout playoffs on Sunday with the eventual champion taking home US$50,000 (about PHP2.6 million).

Also on the line are two slots in the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Doha, one spot in the FIBA 3x3 Challenger Penang, and two seats in another Challenger in Kunshan.
