MANILA—With the entire April already an action-packed month for Philippine 3x3 basketball, well-known public address announcer Top Juliano and the rest of his group, the University of the Philippines Rural High School Alumni Ballers, decided to end the month with one of their own for a cause.
In cooperation with the Tip-Off Sports and Wellness Center, the UPRHS Alumni Ballers will stage a 3x3 tournament on April 28 at the Copeland Gym inside UP Los Baños.
The Banzon Strong 3x3 Tournament will run through the entire day, and its proceeds will go to the chemotherapy of Juliano's fellow UPRHS alumnus Jas Banzon.
To further spice up the event, Blackwater's Paul Desiderio and Diego Dario and NLEX's Kyles Lao will be in attendance to play an exhibition game against a selection of some of the best players from Los Baños, to be named Ban7_Strong.
