MANDALUYONG--Pasig claimed the top seed in Pool C of the Chooks-To-Go 3x3 Asia-Pacific Super Quest after beating Absolute 3x3, 21-15, at the SM Megamall Fashion Hall on Saturday.

Taylor Statham was just too much for Absolute as the wingman imposed his will inside to lead Pasig to a 2-0 sweep of their pool.

Statham finished with 11 points for the Kings, who will face TSV Reading Cinemas in the quarterfinals on Sunday.

The Australian side missed out on the top seed in Pool A after bowing to Ulaanbaatar, 14-16, in the battle for the said rank.

However, fellow Filipino side 1Bataan met a different fate as it fell to 3x3 EXE Premier, 17-21.

In the battle that decided which team will take the top seed in Pool B, the Japanese side preserved its resilience as 1Bataan could not complete breaking into its opponent's lead.

3x3 EXE Premier will face Aotearoa, while 1Bataan will battle SSLC in the quarterfinals.

SSLC defeated Aotearoa, 21-18, in the final match of the day that forced a 1-1 tie between the two and Saigon in Pool D.

But as the ties were broken, SSLC took the top spot with 36 total points, Aotearoa got the second seed with 35, and Saigon was eliminated after totaling only 29.

The other Last 8 pairing will have Jakarta West taking on Ulaanbaatar.
