MANILA—Vadim Poddubchenko got a revenge of sorts against David Carlos as the Ukranian won the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Doha Masters Slam Dunk Contest early Saturday (Philippine Time).
Carlos got the better of Miller in their previous meeting when the former denied the latter a podium finish in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in Bocaue last year.
But this time, Miller scored three perfect 30's in the final round to take home US$2,500 (PHP129,200), and that's despite Carlos bringing along creative dunks.
Carlos, however, will still go home with US$500 (PHP25,840) for the runner-up finish.
