MANILA—Gilas Pilipinas Women finished in eighth place in the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup at the culmination of the event on Sunday in Changsha.
Gilas Women fell to Australia, 16-21, in the quarterfinals, but being in the playoffs alone merited Gilas Women a sure Top 8 finish.
Australia eventually won it all, beating Kazakhstan, 20-9, in the final.
The Boomers' male squad also took home the men's division title, edging Mongolia, 21-9.
Gilas Men, on the other hand, finished 16 out of 22 teams.
