MANILA—La Consolacion-Manila preserved an 89-83 overtime win against Philippine Christian University despite the latter's huge comeback in the 25th Fr. Martin’s Cup Summer League presented by Resorts World Manila, Bedans 62-66, and Cocolife at the San Beda Gymnasium in Manila on Tuesday.
Jesse Bardaje came alive in the extra five minutes, scoring all of the 11 Blue Royals' points in the said period to lift them past the Dolphins, who missed out on sealing a comeback from 23 points down.
Bardaje finished with 21 points for La Consolacion-Manila, which won for the third straight game following upsets against Letran and National University, although the team had to deal with a reality check against PCU.
Jexter Tolentino had a game-high 23 markers for the Dolphins.
