MANILA—National University improved their record while De La Salle University notched their first win as both sides defeated Adamson University in the women's division of the 25th Fr. Martin's Cup Summer League presented by Resorts World Manila, Bedans 62-66, and Cocolife Tuesday at the San Beda Gymnasium.

The Lady Falcons' first team fell prey to perennial women's college basketball powerhouse Lady Bulldogs, 81-70, while their second team were whipped by the Lady Archers, 78-57.

In the first game, NU escaped from Adamson A's gallant stand after outscoring its UAAP rival, 24-15, in the final canto to pull away for good.

Rhena Itesi was once again unstoppable inside for the Lady Bulldogs as she tallied 21 points, while Kaye Pingol added 17 markers.

Three days after dropping 25 points on the Lady Archers, Natalia Prado made another 25-point output for the Lady Falcons' Team A, although in a losing effort.

In the other game, La Salle got a revenge of sorts on Adamson after bowing to its Team A on Saturday by pummeling its Team B from the get-go.

The Lady Falcons could not recover from a measly five-point first quarter as the Lady Archers never looked back after an early double-digit lead.

Kent Pastrana scored 14 points for La Salle, while Chrisnalyn Padilla tallied 13 for Adamson B.
