QUEZON CITY—When TNT announced that former NBA first round pick Terrence Jones will be its import for the PBA Commissioner's Cup, all eyes were suddenly on the team as the fans expect Jones to dominate the competition.
At least in the KaTropa's opening game against the NLEX Road Warriors, Jones proved they are right.
Jones dropped 41 points to lead TNT to a 102-87 win over NLEX at the Ynares Center in Antipolo on Wednesday night.
The KaTropa went full blast in the second quarter, outscoring the Road Warriors, 34-16, to complete a recovery from a slow start as Jones imposed his will.
Jones also got 14 rebounds, four assists, and two blocks even as Anthony Semerad added 11 points, six rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
Curtis Washington had a quiet 18 points, 16 rebounds, one assist, and two dimes for NLEX.
