MANILA—Camille Clarin scored the game-winner at the buzzer as Gilas Pilipinas Women edged Netherlands, 10-9, to keep their hopes for a spot in the FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup quarterfinal spot alive in Ulaanbataar on Wednesday.
With the game tied, 9-all, with 11.7 seconds left, the Dutch girls's defense forced Clarin to take a leaner from just inside the arc that she missed.
However, the ball ended at her hands after a rebounding battle, and she quickly flipped the ball up with 0.2 second left.
Gilas Women celebrated after the ball went in.
Ella Fajardo led Gilas Women, who can clinch a quarterfinal spot with a win against Czech Republic later Wednesday, with six points.
Clarin added three, while Karl Ann Pingol scored one.
Jamy De Kock, Fleur Bastiaansen, and Alissa Van Der Plas each made three markers for Netherlands, which fell to 1-2 in Pool C.
