MANILA—France gave Gilas Pilipinas Women a quick reality check at the start of their FIBA 3x3 U18 World Cup campaign with a 22-2 win in Ulaanbataar on Monday night.

Despite playing solid defense on their French foes, Gilas Women could not find their stroke offensively, and eventually, France got its offensive game going and completed the finish with back-to-back deuces from Lisa Dufon.

Dufon made eight points, while N'Dye Toure and Mariama Daramy each added six and Axelle Fuentes chipped in two for France.

Only Camille Clarin and Ella Fajardo scored for Gilas Women, which will host nation Mongolia later Monday.
