Nambatac's explosion lifts ROS over Ginebra

MANILA—Rey Nambatac put on a show on Friday night to lead Rain Or Shine to a 104-81 win against Ginebra in the PBA Commissioner's Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Nambatac posted his first 30-point game of his young PBA career banked on seven triples, and the Elasto Painters pulled away in the final frame to zap the Barangay.

Nambatac also had two rebounds and one assist in the win.

In his first win with ROS, Denzel Bowles added 25 points, 17 rebounds, six assists, two blocks, and two steals as he got one over his former coach at the Magnolia franchise, current Ginebra mentor Tim Cone.

Justin Brownlee dropped 30 markers of his own with 17 boards, three dimes, five steals, and three blocks for the Barangay, who were denied of their 1000th win overall in their first try.

Scottie Thompson came close to a rare rebound-assist double-double with 10 assists and nine rebounds with four markers and two steals.
