MANILA--Bicol banked on a smothering defense on Marikina in the third quarter to post an 86-67 win in the MPBL Lakan Season at the Pasig Sports Center on Wednesday night.
The Volcanoes stranded the Shoemasters in the third frame, holding them to just eight points to set up the blowout win.
Jerome Garcia stepped up after the early departure of Alex Nuyles due to an injury, leading Bicol with 21 points, seven rebounds, and one steal off the bench.

Chris Lalata added a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds with two assists and two blocks in a start.
JJ Espanola came up with 18 markers, two boards, and five dimes for Marikina.
