MANILA--Kyle Neypes delivered from long range in crunch time as Binan City finally scored a win in the MPBL Lakan Season, beating Cebu in overtime, 85-81, on Wednesday night at the Pasig Sports Center.
Neypes drilled back-to-back triples to overturn a 77-80 deficit into an 83-80 lead with 1:15 left in the extra period.
Will McAloney could only buy a split from the line for the Sharks even as Patrick Cabahug missed a potential go-ahead trey, and Allan Mangahas went coast to coast for the dagger teardrop with just two seconds left.
Mangahas finished with 24 points, 13 rebounds, eight assists, and one block for Binan City.
Macky Acosta added 13 points, three boards, and one steal, while Neypes chipped in 12 markers, four boards, and one dime as the team's second unit stepped up.
Cabahug ended up with 20 points, two rebounds, and two assists, while McAloney came up with 17 markers, 19 caroms, and two dishes for Cebu.
