PASIG--The Gilas Pilipinas Men practice is set to go one notch higher next week as Coach Yeng Guiao revealed on Monday night that the team will do daily practices starting the following Monday.

"Six to eight [in the evening] na tayo [nang] Monday up to Friday," Guiao said after practice at the Meralco Gym.

The start of the daily grind will come one week ahead of the initial plan, which is to begin it during its training camp in Spain, although Guiao already hinted on Thursday night that it would be the case after observing the previous practices.

"Ang expectation namin, magkakaroon na kami ng better chemistry and better conditioning for Andray [Blatche]," Guiao bared what he and his players should attain come the daily practices.

He then set another goal for the Nationals come next week: "Before we leave for Spain on Aug. 4, we should be able to more or less be 70-80 percent [ready]. Yung 20-30 percent, kailangan na naming habulin pagsampa ng August."

Gilas will play in a pocket tournament in Spain as part of its build-up for the FIBA World Cup.
