QUEZON CITY--Ginebra recovered from a bad start and ripped Magnolia, 102-81, in the PBA Commissioner's Cup edition of the "Manila Clasico" at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday.

The Barangay quickly found itself at the crossroads after the Hotshots opened the game on a 10-0 run.

But just as Ginebra began scoring, the momentum also made a slow shift, and the team completed the turnaround in the second half, outscoring Magnolia, 59-34, to steal the win.

Justin Brownlee scored a career-high 49 points on 18-24 shooting, 20 rebounds, seven assists, one steal, and two blocks for the Barangay, who officially clinched a spot in the quarterfinals after moving up to 6-4.

Japeth Aguilar added 18 point on 9-of-13 field goals, nine rebounds, three blocks, and one steal.

James Farr put up his own career-high of 34 points, 21 rebounds, two assists, three blocks, and one steal for the Hotshots, who fell to 5-4.
