QUEZON CITY - The San Miguel Beermen showed grit as they walked away with a one-sided win against the Phoenix Fuel Masters, 126-108, Wednesday night at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

The Beermen dictated the game from the first quarter up until the final buzzer, leaving Phoenix a bit worried about their hopes in making it to the playoffs, although the latter had a shot at stealing the win.

From a lead that is as high as 27 points, the Fuel Masters were able to cut almost half of the lead in the fourth quarter alone.

Outside shots worked for Phoenix as RJ Jazul, JC Intal and Rey Guevarra all connected from beyond the arc

But their efforts were not enough to pull off an upset against San Miguel.

"There were a couple of BS calls, but besides that, I went out there to play my game and take my shots. That’s the real point, you know – go out there and be aggressive and just keep winning games. Try to get to the playoffs and get to the championship. I just came here to win championship. I’m here to do my job, play hard, take my shots and just win games," said Chris McCullough as he talked to the media after the game.
