BINAN—Stallion Laguna and Green Archers United played to a goalless draw in the lone Philippines Football League offering on Sunday at the Binan Football Stadium.
GAU was the first to threaten in the third minute with Greggy Yang sending a long free kick over the bar.
Darwin Regala then gave GAU quite a scare i the eight minute when he tried his own rocket that was on pace of going if not for Henri Fong's huge save.
Seconds later, Kim Dong-Hyeon found some space off a Fitch Arboleda cross, but his header went off target.
Later in the 14th minute, Balut Doctora found himself with an open goal to look at after Fong committed on Abou Sy outside the box, but Doctora sailed his shot off left.
Stallion Laguna remained aggressive as Nate Alquiros tried one long range bomb of his own in the 25th minute that sailed way high as well.
Alquiros had his best chance in the 32nd minute after he was designated to take a penalty after Doctora was fouled hard inside the box, but Fong correctly picked Alquiros' spot and saved the penalty.
Jhan-Jhan tried to sneak in one in the 42nd minute, but his shot also found itself going over.
Arboleda tried one more in the 45th minute that went off right.
Sy tried to convert on Alquiros' set piece in the 52nd minute, but his header was way off target.
GAU had its best crack at the goal in the 55th minute when Tating Pasilan tried a shot from the left side of the box, but Pepito Hayeson saved the ball from going in.
Alquiros tried a free kick in the 56th minute, but his shot was off target as well.
Come the hour mark, Abou Sy sent another shot that went straight to Fong.
Another huge moment came in the 65th minute, when substitute Warren Bedia got a header off the cross, but his shot just hit the post to the dismay of the Stallion Laguna fans at home.
The returning Stephen Appiah tried one from deep for GAU in the 68th minute, but his shot was just wide left.
Appiah tried one more from inside the box in the 71st minute, but this time, the ball hit the post before going live again.
Another shot from Appiah, off a free kick in the 77th minute, was easily saved by Hayeson.
John Celiz tried one of his own a minute after, but his shot also went off left and over the bar.
Sy found the net anew in the 82nd minute, but Fong was quick to save the ball again from going in.
Melliza had one last chance to steal the win for Stallion Laguna in stoppage time, but his shot just ended up in Fong's hands.
Pao Bugas had his golden opportunity as well to win it for GAU, but his shot was just off right as time expired.
