Stallion Laguna romps Air Force at home despite playing sans HC Nierras

BINAN--Stallion Laguna staved off the absence of Head Coach Ernie Nierras and blasted Air Force, 6-2, in their PFL showdown at the Binan Football Stadium on Wednesday.

Despite Bitoy Rosalia conceding the opening goal in his return to the starting goalkeeper position, the home side pipped the visitor after pulling away late in the first half.

Glenn Bulaquina stunned the venue after putting Air Force on the board with a 13th minute goal.

But Stallion Laguna dropped three goals in just nine minutes with Christian Nana (22nd minute), Jhan-Jhan Melliza (25th), and Nicolas Ferrer (31st) each accounted for the strikes.

Jake Hugo kept Air Force in the match with a 37th minute goal, but Balut Doctora answered a minute later and Abou Sy added another in the 41st minute for the 5-2 count.

While action slowed down in the second half, Stallion Laguna still delivered the exclamation point as Sy converted a close-range goal in stoppage time for the final count.

The four-goal margin was enough for Stallion Laguna to reclaim third spot from idle Green Archers United on goal difference.

Air Force, on the other hand, further slipped in league table as the club remains winless after nine tries with only one point through a draw to show.
