Ceres Negros continues winning run with rout of Mendiola

LIPA—Ceres Negros continued to roll in the PFL after a 4-1 rout of Mendiola at the Aboitiz Pitch on Wednesday night.

Mike Ott and Robert Mendy each netted braces as Ceres Negros soared to its 12th straight win and stay unscathed this season.

Ott struck first for Ceres Negros in the 17th minute before Mendy made it 2-0 five minutes later.

Alen Angeles found the net for Mendiola with a 30th minute goal, but Mendy responded with a goal of his own in the 41st minute as Ceres Negros headed to the halftime break ahead, 3-1.

Ott finished off Mendiola with a 60th minute goal for the final tally.

Ceres Negros is now on 37 points after 13 games, six points clear of Kaya Iloilo, 2-0 winner over Global Makati in the curtain-raiser, for first place in the league table.

Mendiola remains stuck at 10 points after 13 matches as the club now lost its last three.
