Ceres Negros trashes Global Makati in PFL record rout

By Gil Moriones

MANILA--Ceres Negros FC registered their biggest win in the PFL as they routed the lowly Global Makati FC, 13-0 at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas.

Bienvinido Marañon led the yellow squad with his four goals, which accumulated in the 20th, 59th, 80th and 88th minute of the game.

Marañon, Robert Lopez Mendy, Stephan Shrock and Mike Ott scored their goal respectively in the first half to end it at 5-0.

During the second half, Mendy and Ott made their efforts to earn their hat tricks in their uniform including the goal of Takashi Odawara in the 51st minute.

James Younghusband then snatched his first goal for Ceres Negros in the 85th minute.

Ceres Negros' victory turns out to be the biggest win ever by any club in the PFL, eclipsing its own previous record last July in a 12-0 win against Philippine Air Force.
