SAN JUAN, MM—The NCAA on Tuesday cancelled fives games, including three men’s matches at The Arena after classes were suspended due to expected heavy rainfall in Metro Manila.

The cancelled senior’s matches were between unbeaten College of St. Benilde and red-hot Letran, defending three-time champion San Beda and Mapua, and Arellano versus San Sebastian, while in the junior’s were the Red Cubs and Red Robins, and Baby Chiefs and Staglets.

The lone encounter that pushed through was the first game at 8 a.m. as the Letran Squires downed the La Salle Greenhills-CSB Greenies, 69-66, for their third win in seven games while the latter now sports a 4-2 card.

“Again, due to the very late suspension of classes, the games scheduled at 10 a.m. onward for Tuesday are cancelled and shall be played on a date and time to be determined later. Tickets for canceled games shall be honored on the re-scheduled date,” said NCAA Management Committee chairman Peter Cayco.
