PFL: Mintah features as Kaya-Iloilo FC escapes Stallion-Laguna FC

By Xy-Zha Cabanlong

MANILA - Jordan Mintah's goal was all that Kaya-Iloilo FC needed to walk away with the win against the Stallion-Laguna FC in the second offering of the Philippines Football League on a Saturday at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa City, Batangas.

The victory is Kaya-Iloilo's 4th straight in the league that also served as the first start of the game for returning Kenshiro Daniels.

Mintah chipped the lone goal of the match on the 17th minute of the game.

It may have been unfortunate for Kaya to lose Shirmar Felongco, who had to be subbed off due to injury but his replacement, Janrick Soriano had been monumental in protecting the 1-0 advantage.

Ruben Doctora tried to at least equalise the score come the second half, only to find the ball hitting the crossbar.

Other than Felongco, Kaya-Iloilo also missed the services of midfielder Marwin Angeles.
