MANDALUYONG--Alvin Pasaol will not be around when Balanga Chooks will join the FIBA 3x3 Bucharest Challenger this weekend.

The burly yet energetic wingman's Romanian visa came in a bit too late.

Had the visa come sooner, it would have cleared him to join the said tournament, a qualifier for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Debrecen Masters.

"Sobrang lungkot kasi maiiwan ko ang mga teammates ko dahil nga sa visa problems," Pasaol rued after the team's practice at Gold's Gym Sheridan on Thursday.

However, he is still keeping his trust on teammates Karl Dehesa, Chris De Chavez, and Travis Franklin that they can pull off a good run.

"Malaki naman ang tiwala ko sa kanila na kaya nilang manalo," Pasaol continued. "Huwag nilang indahin ang pagod. Isipin na lang nila [na] para sa bansa natin ito."

Balanga Chooks, also known as the Bataan Risers domestically, will play in a qualifying draw against Colorado City and Kochonevo on Saturday.

The winner of the three-team group will qualify for the main tournament, particularly in Pool D, where Canada's Edmonton and another American team, New York Harlem, are already seeded.
