by Sherlyn Paleg

ANTIPOLO CITY - Ateneo stay refined on the expense of hungry NU in their match up ended 71-50 victory, Sunday afternoon at the Ynares Center Antipolo.

No pressure for the Blue Eagles as they gallantly got their fifth straight this UAAP Season 82 Men's basketball tourney. With the Blue Eagles win, they are now on 5-0 while NU falls down to 0-5.

Though Bulldogs restricted the Eagles with nine points at the third canto, the latter didn't bother it and finished strong as Ivorian Ange Kouame performed a block party, scored seven at that column added by his 17 points and 13 rebounds.

On the other hand, it was a tough for the Bulldogs as they gain another loss from their four games on the start of the season. Dave Ildefonso was the only Bulldog with a double-digit score with 10 points but struggled on the field having seven out his nine attempts.

NU Bulldogs will try their luck and get a win on Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., against the FEU Tamaraws at MOA Arena while the Ateneo Blue Eagles will continue dominating the first round against UE Red Warriors on the same day and venue, 12:30 p.m.
