MANILA—Gilas Pilipinas Women were off to a rough start in the FIBA Women's Asia Cup after getting bludgeoned by Australia, 57-123, in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

The Aussies pulled away early on, dropping 38 points on Gilas Women, who were later held to just six points in the third period.

Ezi Magbegor scored 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting off the bench to lead eight Australian players in double figures along with six rebounds, one assist, three blocks, and two steals.

Jenna O'Hea added 17 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal, while Cayla George put up a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds with one assist and one steal.

Gemma Miranda made 17 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal for Gilas Women.
