MANILA—Isabela City pulled off a stunner in the FIBA 3x3 Sukhbaatar Challenger, edging Ventspils Ghetto, 21-19, in their do-or-die clash on Friday night.
Marcus Hammonds won it for Isabela City as he drained the go-ahead two-pointer in overtime to shock Ventspils, which still led, 18-14, late in regulation.
Hammonds actually drained back-to-back deuces to force the spark the comeback.
Unfortunately, Isabela City still missed out on a quarterfinal spot as it had to beat Ventspils by at least seven points to secure it.
Hammonds finished with 10 points for Isabela City, while Franky Johnson added six.
Martins Steinbergs put up seven markers for Ventspils, which will join Novi Sad in the next round.

Isabela City 21 - Hammonds 10, Johnson 6, Rountree 3, Banal 2.
Ventspils 19 - Steinbergs 7, Ginters 6, Seņkāns 4, Pāže 2.
