La Salle snaps losing skid, shoots down Adamson

ANTIPOLO CITY - Andrei Caracut's clutch shooting in the deciding quarter brings DLSU Green Archers back into the winning column with a 68-61 victory over Adamson Soaring Falcons at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

With the game tied at 58 with 3:02 remaining in the fourth, the Melecio-Caracut duo sparked an 8-3 run to keep the Falcons at bay, six of which came from Caracut's back-to-back shots from rainbow country, 66-61.

Justine Baltazar, last season's mythical five awardee, posted up monster numbers with 21 points, 14 rebounds, 2 dimes, and 2 denials; followed by Andrei Caracut with 15 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal.

Jerrick Ahanmisi and Val Chauca contributed 13 points each in a losing effort for the San Marcelino based squad.

The Green Archers will try to start a winning streak as they face the UP Fighting Maroons on Wednesday, September 25 tip off is on 4:00 PM at the Mall of Asia Arena. While Adamson will try to bounce back versus the FEU Tamaraws on Saturday, September 28, 4:00pm at the Mall of Asia Arena.
