STA. ROSA, Laguna--San Miguel cruised to its second straight win in the PBA Governors' Cup by bludgeoining Alaska, 109-83, at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Sports Complex on Sunday night.
The Beermen turned the tides in the second quarter, outscoring the Aces, 24-13, to turn a 25-29 deficit after the first quarter to a 49-42 lead by halftime.
SMB continued its domination in the third quarter with a 32-point blast and never looked back from there, even stretching its lead to as high as 35 points, 105-70, in the fourth.
Dez Wells led six Beermen in double figures with 25 points alongside seven rebounds, one assist, and three steals.
Terrence Romeo added 18 points, two rebounds, four assists, and one steal.
Junemar Fajardo and Kelly Nabong each had 10 points and posted a double-double with 12 and 11 rebounds respectively.
Jvee Casio made 16 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals for the Aces, who played all-Filipino.
