MANILA—Terrence Romeo is set to make a return to 3x3 basketball.

Romeo, who was once tagged as the best 3x3 player in Asia after his exploits in the 2014 and 2015 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Manila Masters events, headlines the Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 pool for the Southeast Asian Games.

Joining him are Raymond Almazan, Baser Amer, Robert Bolick, Chris Banchero, Mac Belo, Chris Newsome, CJ Perez, Jason Perkins, Anthony Semerad, Ian Sangalang, and Mo Tautuaa.

Aside from Romeo, only Perez had an experience playing in the 3x3 game before in the FIBA level.

Curiously, the likes of Dylan Ababou, Joshua Munzon, Taylor Statham, Troy Rike, Alvin Pasaol, Karl Dehesa, and Chris De Chavez, who have been making waves locally through the Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3x3 League and internationally by being present in FIBA 3x3 club tournaments, were not listed in the pool.

The inaugural SEA Games 3x3 event is set on Dec. 1-2 at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan City.
