LIPA--Ceres Negros just accomplished a rare feat in Philippine club football.

Already clinching the PFL title last week, Ceres Negros finished the season in style, romping Kaya Iloilo, 3-0, on Saturday night.

With the win, Ceres Negros ended the league season undefeated, the first time it happened in the three-year history of the league that replaced the old UFL as the country's top-tier pro football combat.

The breakaway began in the 74th minute, when OJ Porteria headed the ball past Ace Villanueva for Ceres Negros' opening goal.

Bienve Maranon, who returned to action after taking some time off, drilled in a 90th minute for the 2-0 count.

Late substitute James Younghusband then pounced on Villanueva's huge goalkeeping blunder just before fulltime for the final tally to the delight of the entire Ceres Negros squad.

Ceres Negros finished the season with 22 wins and two draws without a single defeat.
