LIPA--Marvin Angeles' goal was all the difference as Green Archers United survived Mendiola, 1-0, in the lone PFL match on Sunday night at the Aboitiz Pitch.
Angeles struck the match's lone score in the 65th minute as GAU kept its hopes of finishing third in the league standings alive ahead of a crucial Wednesday battle against Stallion Laguna at the Binan Football Stadium.
GAU moved up to 29 points, just seven behind Stallion Laguna for third place with their showdown up next.
GAU also has a match at hand.
Mendiola, on the other hand, remained at 17 points as the club will try to bounce back also on Wednesday against Kaya Iloilo here.
