QUEZON CITY--Ginebra came alive in the final quarter to turn back Rain Or Shine, 98-89, in the PBA Governors' Cup on Saturday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Barangay recovered from the Elasto Painters' third quarter storm by outscoring them, 29-14, in the final 12 minutes, ending the game on a 9-0 run to break out of an 89-all tie.
Justin Brownlee made 39 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and one block for Ginebra, which tied Meralco for fourth place in the team standings at 4-2.
LA Tenorio and Scottie Thompson each added 11 points with the latter dishing out an alley-oop pass to Brownlee and burying a dagger left corner three.
Kwame Alexander made 20 markers, 10 boards, one dime, two steals, and one block for ROS, which fell to the bottom at 2-6, tying Alaska, Phoenix, and Blackwater.
