LIPA—Allen Durham came alive anew for Meralco on Sunday night as the team whipped San Miguel, 125-99, in the PBA Governors' Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Durham put up an impressive triple-double to lead the Bolts, who took advantage of Dez Wells leaving the game due to an ankle injury and pummeled the Beermen.

Durham finished with 29 points on 9-of-15 shooting, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists with one block for Meralco, which overtook SMB and even Ginebra and moved up to third place at 5-2.

Baser Amer added 26 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and one block.

New recruit Allein Maliksi, the big name in the recently approved Meralco-Blackwater trade, finished with 12 points, five rebounds, two assists, and one steal off the bench in his debut as a Bolt.

Toto Jose only had one rebound in his own Meralco debut.

Junemar Fajardo carried the fight with a game-high 31 points, 13 rebounds, and one assist for SMB, which dropped to fifth place at 5-3.

Prior to the ankle sprain, Wells had 18 points, three rebounds, two assists, and one block in 18 minutes of play.

Wells still played the rest of the second quarter, but Coach Leo Austria opted to sit him out the entire second half.
