QUEZON CITY - The San Miguel Beermen debuted their newest member, Sunday night as they went up against Columbian Dyip at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, in the person of Mo Tautuaa.

The Fil-Tongan center was recently traded by the NorthPort Batang Pier to the Beermen in exchange for Christian Standhardinger last Tuesday that surprised most fans of both teams.

Donning the Beermen jersey, Tautuaa played 19 minutes of basketball time, finishing off with 10 points, 5 rebounds and 1 block.

"I'm just finding my spot, we have a good team. I'm trying to find my spot within their offense and defense and making sure in helping the team as much as I can," says Tautuaa after his debut as a Beerman.

San Miguel Coach Leo Austria had seen what Tautuaa can do for the Beermen and has lauded his new player for fitting in well on his first game. Austria also believes that Tautuaa will be able to help the Beermen in winning more championships.

Ironically, Tautuaa's next assignment for the Beermen is to go up against the person he was traded for and his former team - Standhardinger and NorthPort, on Wednesday at the Cuneta Astrodome.

"It's going to be a fun game. I'm going to see my former teammates, it's going to be a good game. I'm excited, I have not seen them [NorthPort] since the trade so I'm ready. I'm ready to play,"Tautuaa said in parting.
