BINAN--The stormy weather at the Binan Football Stadium prompted the PFL to postpone its scheduled match between Stallion Laguna and Air Force on Wednesday.

Scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff, the heavy rains washed the entire venue out that the officials had to delay the start to give the pitch's staff time to take out excess water.

But an hour later, with the lightnings still prevalent despite the rainshower now lighter than earlier, the match officials resolved to have the match rescheduled.

PAGASA raised a thunderstorm warning over the entire Laguna and its nearby provinces at 12 p.m. Wednesday.

The match will now be played at 8 a.m. Friday, making it the first time since the UFL days that a top-tier football league match will be played in the morning.

Meanwhile, the thunderstorm also prompted the match officials at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa to delay the start of the Mendiola-Kaya Iloilo match.

However, they eventually decided to have the match at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
