MANILA--TNT reclaimed the solo top spot in the PBA Governors' Cup standings after turning back Columbian, 125-120, on Saturday night at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Hours after the San Miguel Beermen tied them in the conference table in Dubai, the KaTropa quickly got first place back after a 12-5 run late in the game gave them the lead for good, 123-117, after the Dyip were up, 110-109, midway in the fourth quarter.
Columbian still had a chance to force overtime when CJ Perez converted a three-pointer that cut the lead down to three, 123-120, with a minute left.
However, TNT's defense kept the team scoreless from thereon, and RR Pogoy made two free throws with 11 seconds remaining for the dagger.
