UST Growling Tigers squeaked past the UP Fighting Maroons to complete an elimination sweep

PASAY CITY - The UST Growling Tigers bounces back after beating the UP Fighting Maroons with, 84-78, Wednesday evening at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The España based squad made it rain from beyond the arc as they made 16 out of 42, seven of them made in the first quarter. Subido and Paraiso proved to be clutch in the end game as they sank back-to-back threes to keep the Tigers' final four hopes alive.

Sherwin Concepcion top scored for the boys in white and gold, scoring 16 points all made from rainbow country and a free throw. Renzo Subido copped player of the game honors with 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Meanwhile for the boys from Diliman, Kobe Paras top scored for the Maroons with 18 points followed by Jun Manzo and Ricci Rivero wherein they scored 12 points each.
