MANILA--If Alan Cayetano is to be asked, he would rather stay silent about the number of gold medals the Philippine team will get in the Southeast Asian Games.

On Wednesday night, the chairman of PHISGOC declined to talk about his projection on the national team's gold medal chances in the upcoming meet from Nov. 30-Dec. 11.

"I'd rather not [talk about it] as chairman kasi nga we have to make sure [na] fair sa lahat," the concurrent House speaker said.

He added, "POC na ang mag-take ng predictions."

The POC recently targeted a 220 gold medal haul for the Philippines in the games.

However, Cayetano also kept mum about his take on the POC's gold medal forecast, although he added that he is keeping his faith that the Nationals will get a lot of golds.

"Nagdadasal kami. We're hoping and giving our support na mag number one ang Pilipinas," he further said.

Cayetano was among the special guests in a special sendoff event for the SEA Games-bound athletes at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
