KUALA LUMPUR -- Sparky no more.

Sunsparks bows out of the 2019 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship after a 2-1 close defeat at the hands of Myanmar's Burmese Ghouls on Saturday, November 16 at the Axiata Arena.

The Filipino delegation gave up Game 1 with a 17-10 defeat against the Burmese delegation, with  Kid001's Lunox doing most of the damage.

It was a one-sided affair for Burmese Ghouls, breaking all nine Sunsparks turrets while doing most of the jungling.

Sunsparks, with their backs on the wall, tried to equalize the series with a team of Jaypee's Granger, Fuzaken's Grocks, and Renzio's Chang'e.

The Filipinos showed dominance over the opponents, 29 kills to just four, with Jaypee scoring nine kills while assisting four more.

However, Burmese Ghouls pulled of a surprise pick in the rubber match, with Ace007 selecting Hayabusa to counter Jaypee who picked Claude.

The surprise select spelled the end of Sunsparks together with Kid001's Harith, combining for 18 kills and 14 assists.

Harith and Hayabusa unleashed a series of attacks that wiped out the entire lineup of Sunsparks with Harith doing the final kill over Kielvj's Esmeralda, leaving the base unattended.

Sunsparks will return to the Philippines US$8,000 (over P400,000) richer as the 5th to 6th team.
