BINAN--The Philippine Malditas sealed a spot in the semifinals of the Southeast Asian Games women's football tournament after drubbing Malaysia, 5-0, on Friday night at the Binan Football Stadium.

Sarina Bolden's hat trick set the pace for the Malditas as they are set to cap what has been a momentous year for them with a Final Four seat.

Bolden opened the floodgates for the Malditas with a 25th minute goal from close range. Alisha Del Campo then followed it up with a 39th minute header for the 2-0 count.

Bolden completed her hat trick with back-to-back goals in the 42nd minute and the third minute of added time for the first half.

Eva Madarang put the exclamation point for the Malditas with her goal right before fulltime.

The Malditas will now have to wait for the result of the Myanmar-Malaysia game on Monday back here to determine if they will be the top seed or the second seed in Group A.

Malaysia, on the other hand, needs to pull off a huge upset over Myanmar to sneak into the semis as well.
